Leading Transformational Journeys…

The month of April 2025 marks a truly special milestone entering into the 10th year of Crossover Leadership Journey’s existence. What started as a vision has grown into something far greater than I could have imagined, and I’m honored to stand tall with our customers, partners, associates and employees as we celebrate this incredible decade of growth, resilience, and impact.
I thought of sharing about this incredibly fulfilling journey, the lessons learnt and the pivots that have shaped us into who we are today. From its inception In 2016 we wanted to make a difference with our Journey Based Leadership development approach as we always felt that no transformation can happen over night.

So on day one we put together a team of content creators, mentors and operations support to bring the above framework to life. Our clients loved our readiness and in less than two years by 2018, we won the trust of 24 clients. The blog I wrote that year — “24 Months, 24 Clients, 24 Crozies” is a nice read on our first 2 year journey and it wasn’t just about numbers but it was about relationships, courage, and commitment to make a difference. It was about the early believers who let us in on one hand and the clients who challenged our approach. The team at Crossover and the facilitators who stood live in front of the participants proved that our transformation model worked.

By 2020, we established ourselves as one of the respected brands in leadership development. Our fourth anniversary marked a time of deepening our conviction of helping organizations transform with world class content, industry experienced facilitators and robust journey approach.. We had expanded our leadership journeys to cover every layer within our client organization — from first-time managers to top leadership. As we were celebrating the 4 year completion the Pandemic hit.
2020: When the World Changed, So Did We
It was the year the world changed overnight. Nobody had a playbook for what was coming.
March 2020. When the pandemic hit, we — like everyone else — were stunned. Airports went silent. Offices closed. Leadership sessions paused mid way. In a matter of days, everything that defined our work — in-person sessions, immersive conversations, chai breaks with participants — disappeared.
What remained was uncertainty. What emerged from it was resilience. We didn’t jump into solutions. We sat in silence. And in the silence of lockdown, one question echoed louder than ever:
“How do we continue building leaders — when the world no longer looks the same?”
Turning Chaos into Clarity: Our Early Pandemic Response
When the physical doors to organizations closed, we began opening new ones — virtually. But this wasn’t a simple switch from in-person to Zoom calls. We had to reimagine facilitation from the ground up. So we created our Technical Clearing Team — a small group of passionate tech guides who helped facilitators and clients alike set up their cameras, lights, sound, and even posture. For us, it wasn’t just about “going online.” It was about creating a presence on screen — as powerful as in the room.
As organizations scrambled to make sense of remote work, we co-created a Virtual Onboarding Guide — helping companies welcome new employees with structure, energy, and human warmth. From welcome rituals to day plans, from buddy systems to culture-building touchpoints, we made sure that joining a new company in a new world still felt like belonging.
The sudden shift to remote work revealed a hidden leadership gap — how do you manage people you can’t see every day? We facilitated conversations on trust, autonomy, clarity, and empathy. We worked with leaders to manage performance without micromanagement, and team morale without visibility. We built new frameworks.
From Rooms to Screens: Redesigning the Leadership Experience
We knew it was going to be difficult — after all, everything we had built until then was rooted in physical human connection. Our work thrived in physical spaces — the energy of a live room, the nuances of body language, the power of shared silence, and the unspoken trust that builds over post-session chai breaks. Shifting to virtual wasn’t just about mastering a new platform; it required a complete reimagination of how leadership learning could feel, flow, and land across a screen.
We didn’t want to simply replicate the in-room experience online — we wanted to redesign it from the ground up. That meant rewriting our content to suit the digital attention span, turning monologues into conversations, and transforming passive listening into active reflection. We invested in visuals that sparked curiosity, breakout rooms that nurtured depth, and rituals that preserved our human essence. Our goal was simple yet ambitious: to make every virtual session as powerful, personal, and presence-filled as the ones we once held in person. And somewhere along the way, we realized — while the format changed, the intent remained the same. To hold space. To build leaders. To make it matter.
Leadership Without Borders
The greatest gift of going virtual? Geography became History. The pandemic broke down barriers we didn’t know existed. In this one year, we reached audiences we had never touched before. From Japan to Germany, Dubai to Australia, the UK to the USA, we entered boardrooms and living rooms across the globe. We also reached out to local subsidiaries of Indian companies, bringing together teams spread across continents, helping build bridges between cultures, departments, and geographies.
One of the most beautiful outcomes of 2020 was this: Global employees didn’t just join calls. They found each other. They connected across boundaries. They shared stories across continents. They built a community — one breakout room at a time.
2021: The Year of Grounded Growth
2021 wasn’t just the year after COVID — it was the year we truly understood what it meant to lead through uncertainty. While the world was still adjusting to new norms, at Crossover, we stepped into this space with humility, creativity, and care. Conducting sessions in a post-pandemic world wasn’t just about shifting formats — it was about shifting energy.
Gone were the cues of a physical room, the coffee-break conversations, the nods and glances that made learning personal. We had to relearn how to read silence, how to engage meaningfully in digital spaces, and how to build psychological safety across screens. Facilitators had to not only deliver content — they had to create presence. To help them, our design team reimagined experiences to be more conversational, reflective, and visual — and not just passive. We used breakout rooms as intimate reflection pods. We introduced “digital slowdowns” to give people space to breathe.
Despite the constraints, our work expanded. We collaborated with a vibrant mix of organizations — from startups to conglomerates, from academia to hospitality. We co-created leadership journeys with clients across industries and geographies.
Every session in 2021 was a lesson in adaptability. A reminder that leadership is not about control — it’s about presence. And sometimes, presence can be felt even across a screen.
Bi-Monthly Webinars: A New Era of Leadership Learning
In 2021, we opened the doors to anyone seeking growth and launched our bi-monthly webinars for leaders everywhere. These free, virtual sessions were our way of extending conscious leadership to a wider circle — beyond our clients, beyond borders. The very first webinar was held on November 10 on Emotional Agility in Changing Times. We knew that emotional agility was exactly what leaders needed during those difficult times—helping them navigate uncertainty. This first webinar became a cornerstone for us, offering tools for leaders to manage their emotions effectively, stay grounded, and lead with clarity and compassion, which was more crucial than ever.

Since then, we’ve hosted the webinars non-stop every two months. Each webinar creates a space for real-time reflection, connection, and learning. What began as an experiment is now a growing movement. Leaders don’t just log in — they lean in. To reflect. To connect. To grow. With each session, we’ve widened the circle — and the journey continues. You can see all the webinars on our website https://www.crossoverleaders.com/the-buzz/#Webinars and also register for the next webinar.
